The current economic crisis intensified the needs in our nation and world. Each day on the news we see persons lining up for unemployment benefits. We hear stories of children going hungry. Every five seconds a child dies of starvation. The percentage of homeless persons has dramatically increased in the last twelve months.
What is God’s plan to meet the needs of his children? We (believers in Jesus Christ) are his plan. And he does not have another plan.
God has chosen to work through us to meet the needs of hurting children. There is no deeper joy than knowing that God has used us to accomplish his purposes.
My dream is for every member of our church to do something in the next three months to meet the needs of God’s children. Is it an impossible dream to believe we can make a difference? Humanly it is impossible. But not with God. He is ready and eager to do more than we could dream or imagine. Are you ready to join with him?
